2335 cases of Ceasefire violations in Jammu since May

Jammu, Feb 6: As per data of the Ministry of Defense, there has been 2335 incidents of ceasefire violations along the Line of Control in Jammu region from 30 May 2019 (formation of the current government) to January 20, 2020.

Furthermore, in a response to a question asked by Rajmani Patel and Dr Amee Yajnik, MoS in Ministry of Defense Shripad Naik told the Rajya Sabha that there have been 177 incidents of cross-border firing along Indo-Pak International Border in Jammu from 30th May 2019 to 15th Jan 2020.

So far, there have been eight fatal casualties of Army personnel since 30 May last year, he stated.
