64-member Shooting contingent leave for Nationals

JAMMU, Sept 09:  A strong contingent (men and women) of 64 young and senior shooters today left for participation in the 29th All India GV Mavlankar Shooting Championship to be held at Ahmadabad in Gujarat from September 13 to September 19 under the banner of J&K Shooting Association.

The contingent was flagged off by president, Kuldeep Singh Jamwal and general secretary, Amjad Parvez Mirza, general secretary and vice president, Sharat Chander Singh of the State Association in the presence of chairman technical committee, Rajesh Virdhy.

The selected shooters represent various clubs of the state including KPS Shooting Club, Kathua;  GZS Rifle Club Bari Brahamna; J&K Police Shooting Club Jammu;  DPS Shooting Club Jammu; IDPS Shooting Club Jammu and SMVD Shooting Club Katra besides departmental shooters from J&K Police.
