BSF School Judokas excel in Sub-Junior group

JAMMU, Sept 08: Young judokas representing the BSF School Jammu secured most of the medals in the Sub-junior age group thereby excelled in the ongoing Jammu District Judo Championship, organised by the J&K Judo Association at Indoor Complex, MA Stadium, here today.

The three-day competition shall conclude tomorrow with final bouts in the Junior and Senior groups, followed by the prize distribution function.

The bouts were officiated by the technical penal including Suraj Bhan Singh, Arshi Nad, Ritika Slathia, Vikas Dogra, Rameshwar Singh, Munish Chatwal under the supervision of organising secretary, Vikas Gupta.

The Results:

GIRLS: Under-25 kg: Chanchal, Ist; Shameem, 2nd; Ankita and Ambika, joint 3rd. Under-30 kg: Tanya Thapa, Ist; Nandani, 2nd; Anjali and Abida, joint 3rd. Under-35 kg: Ari Thakur, Ist; Sapna, 2nd and Radhika, 3rd. Under-40 kg: Dilnaz, Ist and Romika, 2nd. Plus 40 kg: Manavi, Ist and Nirjala, 2nd. Below 44 kg: Manavi, Ist and Nirjala, 2nd.

SENIOR GIRLS: 48 kg: Rema Devi, Ist; Deepika, 2nd and Ayushi, 3rd. 52 kg: Bhumika, ist; Surajni, 2nd and Surbhi, 3rd.

BOYS Under-12: Below 25kg: Varun, Ist; Pranav, 2nd; Shubham and  Mayank, joint 3rd. Below 30 kg: Amrit, Ist; Mohd Razaq, 2nd; Keshav and Shubham, joint 3rd. 35 kg: Adhi, Ist; Hitesh, 2nd, Dhruv and Utkarsh, joint 3rd. Below 40 kg: Daksh, Ist; Babbar, 2nd; Ritvik and  Sameer, joint 3rd. Below 50 kg: Arihant Mahajan, Ist;  Adhyan Singh, 2nd and Vihan Khullar, 3rd.

JUNIOR BOYS: 50 kg: Rudra Manhas, Ist; Surya Pratap, 2nd and Parteek, 3rd. 60 kg: Vikram, Ist; Shreyas, 2nd; Amit and Nikhil, joint 3rd. Below 66 kg: Shivam Sharma, Ist; Harish Kumar, 2nd; Anil Kumar and Vishal, joint 3rd. Below 73 kg: Sajjan, Ist; Shashank Baru, 2nd; Rajesh and Ujwal, joint 3rd. Open: Vishav Pratap, Ist; Lakahn Baru, 2nd and Shubam, 3rd.
