Care Home for senior citizens to be built at village Rehal in Bishnah

JAMMU, Jan 15: A  care home for the senior citizens of the society is to be built soon by Parmeshwari Care and Cure Home Charitable Trust at Village Rehal, Tehsil Bishnah in order to provide family environment for residents where they can live with love, dignity and respect.

Announcing this at a meeting of the prominent citizens of Jammu District here today, Kul Bhushan Malhotra, President of the Trust, said that the Home will provide idyllic living environment for the elderly who are compelled to live alone due to various reasons.

Named ‘Love Elderly Care Home’, it will cater to the social, physical, medical, emotional and spiritual needs of the senior citizens while ensuring their independence and dignity, he said. It was decided to organize a Medical Camp in the village in collaboration with Rotary Club of Jammu City on the day of the foundation stone laying ceremony of the home later this month.

Speakers at the meeting thanked the residents of village Rehal including the Sarpanch and other Panchayat members, for donating land for building the Home. The gathering nominated Kul Bhushan Mahotra as President, Ramesh Lal Khajuria as General Secretary and Sanjeev Vaid as the Treasurer of the Trust. A Managing Committee and an Advisory Committee were also constituted during the meeting under the Chairmanship of Dr. Tirath Ram, Sarpanch and Dr. C.M.Seth respectively.

Prominent citizens of Jammu who participated in the meeting wholeheartedly hailed the initiative terming it as the need of the hour. They include Brig. Anil Gupta, Kulraj Singh, M.J.Mukherjee, Adeep Mehta, Vijay Gupta, Robin Mehta, Vijay Gupta, Dr. Vijay Lakshmi, K.K.Sharma, Chhajju Ram, Sat Pal Sharma and Ravinder Kaul.
