Central University Jammu celebrates 139th birth anniversary of Munshi Premchand


Jammu, August 1: Premchand Jayanti Samaroh celebrated at Central University, Jammu.

Prof Suresh Rituparn, Director, Birla foundation, Delhi was the guest speaker on the occasion of 139th birth anniversary of revolutionary Hindi and Urdu writer, Munshi  Premchand. 

Apart from discussing the great works of Munshi Premchand like Godan, Gaban and Karambhoomi, Prof Suresh Rituparn also interacted with students from Hindi Department and Mass communication Department in Central University. The topic of why Hindi is not one of the languages in United Nations was discussed along with the belief that Hindi is a National Language when the constitution has no mention of the same.
