Differently abled persons provided motorized tricycles at Udhampur


UDHAMPUR, MAY 29: Director Social Welfare Department, Dr. Bharat Bhushan and Additional District Development Commissioner, Udhampur Ashok Kumar today presented 11 motorized tricycles to the differently abled persons here.

The beneficiaries hailed from Pachote, Sudhmahadev, Mada, Deot, Bansta, Panjar, Barnara and  Majalta areas.mLater they reviewed the implementation of various social welfare schemes in the district at a meeting.

Dr. Bhushan stressed upon the department to work dedicatedly and tirelessly to reach out to the most deserving cases to be covered under various schemes and initiatives of the department.

He also listened to the grievances of the employees and assured their redressal in a phased manner. As a token of appreciation, the officials of the district presented a hand-crafted logo of Beti Bachao Beti Padhao to the Director of Social Welfare Department which was crafted by the craft teachers and students of Social Welfare Centres of the district.

Rimpy Ohri, District Programme Officer, Integrated Child Development Scheme, Kuldeep Singh, Deputy Director Planning, Directorate of Social Welfare, Archana Kumari, Chief Accounts Officer, District Information Officer, Er. Sajjad Somberia, District Social Welfare Officer, Sana Khan, Tehsil Social Welfare Officers, Udhampur, Chenani, Ramnagar and the staff of District Social Welfare Office were present on the occasion.
