Drug Peddler arrested in Srinagar, 1 KG charas seized

Srinagar, Mar 15: One person was arrested today following an action against those involved in drug peddling in Central Kashmir’s Srinagar district.

One person identified as Riyaz Ahmad Dar son of Wali Muhammad Dar resident of Khelan Naina Sangam arrested for the drug offences during naka checking has been taken to Police Station Panthachowk where he remains in custody.

This is a part of proactive action initiated by Srinagar police against the drug peddlers of Central Kashmir. Officers have seized 01 Kilogram of Charas from his possession. Case FIR No 11/2019 under relevant sections has been registered in PS Panthachowk. Police has asked community members are requested to come forward with any information regarding drug peddlers in their neighbourhood. Persons found indulging in drug peddling will be dealt as per law.
