Football future of Kashmir looks bright

Srinagar, November 24: State Football Academy Kashmir lifts the winning trophy on the final day of Inter SFA Football League. Three group matches were played followed by presentation ceremony of the league at polo ground central playfield at Srinagar.

In U-13 category, SFA Srinagar emerged as winners, SFA Baramulla secured 2nd place and SFA Jammu grabbed the 3rd place in the league. In U-15 category SFA Srinagar came at 1st, SFA Pulwama at 2nd and SFA Kathua at 3rd place. In the U-18 category SFA Srinagar lifted the winning trophy, SFA Baramulla became runner-up and SFA Poonch secured the 3rd place in the league.

During the presentation ceremony, trophies and medals were awarded to teams as per their standings besides player of the match and player of the league awards were also given to the players.

Among guests Mr. Nazir A Khan Ex DG YSS, Mr. Zammer A Thakur President JKFA, Mr. S A Hameed, Prof B A Shah, Me. Nusrat Gazala Sports Officer Central JKSSC, Nazir A Bhat HOR, Fayaz Sofi DFA, Shafi Nari International, Majeed Kukroo former India Captian, Tariq Madani DFA, were present at the function and witnessed the match. They also distributed trophies, medals and various awards to the players and officials of the participating teams. The function was ended with the encouraging speech of Chief Guest Mr. N A Khan.

The league was organised by State Football Academy of J&K State Sports Council and was supported by J&K Football Association and Referees Association JKFA.
