Ishuk, Vidit enter semis of 6-Red Ball event

JAMMU, Dec 16:  Vidit Gawri  and Ishuk Choudhary today qualified for the semifinals of the 6-Red Ball event of ongoing State Billiards and Snooker Championship, organised by the J&K Billiards and Snooker Association at Billiards Hall, MA Stadium, here.

While Vidit defeated Sohail Khalid 4-3 in a tough best of seven game while Ishuk registered a 4-1 win against Gourav Mehra. Earlier, Sohail Khalid defeated Manik Sharma 3-2 and Ishul trounced Stanzin Stobdan 3-1. In another pre-quarterfinal game, Gourav Mehra registered a 3-2 win against Nitin Sharma.

The Results: Quarterfinals:  Ishuk Choudhary bt Gourav Mehra 4-1 (52-13, 22-21, 48-35, 47-52, 52-11); Vidit Gawri bt Sohail Khalid 4-3 (18-44, 38-45, 20-25, 52-01, 44-21, 42-28). Pre-quarterfinals:  Ishuk Choudhary bt Stanzin Stobdan 3-1 (37-00, 20-34, 40-26, 34-29); Gourav Mehra bt Nitin Sharma 3-2 (00-33, 40-00, 42-11, 20-30, 53-27); Sohail Khalid bt Manik Sharma 3-2 (35-05, 30-18, 20-32, 33-40, 38-21).
