Saqlain replied to an online questioner send to him by the medium of a PR agency. The excerpts of the Interview are:

First professional player form J&K

It feels great and I take huge pride in the fact that I’m the first professional player from my state of J&K. There’s actually no words to describe the feeling but I do hope that I prove to be an inspiration for today’s generation.

Message to young spikers from J&K

With so many distractions in today’s times, it’s very important for young spikers to channelise their energies in a positive way. They should stay determined and strong headed to succeed in whatever pursuit they undertake.

Role of his father

My father played a very important role in shaping my life and my career. He has sacrificed everything he had just to make sure I had enough resources to pursue my dreams. Whatever I am today, I owe it all to him. He’s always been my idol and I hope I am a tleast half the person he has been.
