Nagrota Club qualifies for semis of KCSC Cup

JAMMU, Jan 27: Nagrota Cricket Club qualified for the semifinals of the ongoing KC Sports Club (KCSC) Cup Cricket Tournament at KC Public School ground, here yesterday. In the fourth quarterfinal of the tournament, Nagrota Club defeated KCSC Junior by three wickets.

Earlier, after winning the toss, KCSC Junior decided to bat first and made 121 runs. From Nagrota, Sidharth Bhat and Akash contributed 60 and 20 runs respectively. From Nagrota Club, Pradeep and Neeju took two wickets each.

In reply, Nagrota Club chased the target in 19.4 overs for the loss of seven wickets. Rahul and Naresh played superb innings of 50 and 16 runs respectively. From KCSC, Vikas Lakhotra and Ritik Jyotshi shared two wickets each. Rahul of Nagrota Club was declared man of the match for his half century. Today’s quarterfinal officiated by the technical penal including Vijay Raina, Ashok Singh and Shiv Kumar.
