On the occasion of International yoga day

International yoga day was first observed in 2015, 21 June when the ministry of AYUSH made certain arrangements for it. Nearly 84 nations participated in this massive and huge yoga sammelan which took place at Rajpath in Delhi. 21 yoga postures were practised for 35 minutes and maybe this was the turning point for many people worldwide to start adopting yoga practices in their daily lives.

Yoga originated in India around 3000 BC as carved images of yoga postures can be seen in the Indus valley. Yoga was developed as a way to achieve harmony between the heart and soul on the path to divine enlightenment. This fact about yoga and its use was quite popular and people were already aware of it in India, but after so many years of hard work by many people like Baba Ramdev, this yoga practice that was done in Rajpath in Delhi, allowed yoga to gain worldwide importance.

There are many benefits associated with it. Not only does it keep a person physically healthy but also leads to the peace of mind and helps you make better decisions. We might have noticed that all the celebrities have glowing skin that general public craves for. These celebrities like Shilpa Shetty, Ridhima Kapoor Shani practice yoga and certain forms of exercises and a lot more are on the list. So, did you get the hint or I must spell out the secret mantra for getting that glowing skin? Yes, it’s yoga. You will get glowing skin automatically when you are both mentally and physically fit. Yoga will also get rid of joint pains and many health-related problems.

There are some very common and easy yoga positions that one can start from, even at their homes. But make sure to consult some experts first as wrong yoga positions can lead to various consequences.

Meditation is something that everyone must do daily. Even if you are not into it, try to do it for 15 minutes a day and you will see the results by yourself.  Your mind will be much more stable and you will be able to make decisions clearly with a calm mind if earlier you were not able to do so.

You will gain a few things from yoga but will lose a lot. And what you will loose includes pain, anger, depression, unstable mind, frustration, anxiety, fat, negativity from your life. It will give you flexibility in your body since Yoga is a stress buster.  So all the benefits of yoga are in front of you, now what’s there to stop you from doing yoga now? Do it at least today and you will feel good and will incorporate yoga into your daily life.
