Summer’s T-20 cricket tournament concludes at Kupwara

Kupwara, Nov 2: Summer’s T-20 knockout cricket tournament organized by district Police Kupwara concluded today.

A cricket tournament was organised by District Police Kupwara in which 64 cricket teams from the local area participated. The cricket tournament was organised on Knockout basis and commenced from June 15. A total of 63 matches were played out in the tournament. Today final of the tournament was played between City Cricket Club and Coaching Centre Cricket Club Kupwara.

The final match was won by Coaching Centre Kupwara and they were declared as the winners of Summer’s T-20 Cricket tournament.

The concluding ceremony of the cricket tournament was held today after the final match of the event was over. SSP Kupwara Ambarkar Shriram -IPS was the chief guest on the occasion. Other officers from the district were also present on the concluding ceremony including ASP Kupwara, DSP Hqrs Kupwara and DSP DAR Kupwara.

Pertinently the tournament was organised under the supervision of SSP Kupwara for the youth of Kupwara to enable them an opportunity to display their talents and sports skills. Each match of the tournament was witnessed by huge number of spectators cheering for their respective teams. Prizes were also distributed among the participants especially among the team members of Coaching Centre Kupwara which was declared as winner of the tournament.
