Three drug peddlers arrested in Srinagar; Contraband substance seized

Srinagar, June 30: Police in its recent action against drug dealings in Srinagar has arrested three drug peddlers and seized contraband substance from their possession.

Three persons identified Shakir Mehraj Dar son of Mehraj-ud-din Dar, Adil Rasool Gasi son of Ghulam Rasool, both residents of Mehajoor Nagar and Aqib Rashid Bhat son of Ab Rashid resident of Nowgam who were travelling in a passenger auto bearing Registration No. JK01T 3562, were arrested for drug supply offences and have been taken to Police Station Raj Bagh where they remain in custody.

Officers at the checkpoint established near Jawahar Nagar Bund have seized  1080 tablets of Smasmo Proxyvon Plus from their possession.

In this regard, a case FIR No 62/2019 under relevant sections of law has been registered in Police Station Raj Bagh and investigation has been taken up.
