Train service resumes in North Kashmir

Srinagar, Nov 12: Train service was resumed on Srinagar-Badgam-Baramulla in north Kashmir track on Tuesday after remaining suspended since August 3, two days before the Centre scrapped Article 370 and 35 A, besides divided the state into two Union Territories.

However, train runs will remain suspended on Srinagar-Anantnag-Qazigund in south Kashmir and Banihal in Jammu region, a senior railway official said on Tuesday.

For security reasons all train runs were suspended in the Kashmir valley, where spontaneous strike completes 100 days on Tuesday 5.
